I've spent 10+ years doing one thing really well

I'm not a generalist recruiter. I specialise in engineering, AI/ML, product, and leadership hiring — the kind of roles that are hard to fill, high stakes, and genuinely shape a company's future. This includes AI and machine learning roles — from ML Engineers and AI Researchers to Data Scientists and LLM specialists — where the talent pool is small, the bar is exceptionally high, and standard sourcing approaches simply don't work.

But here's what I believe deeply: a great recruiter is not just a talent finder. They're a salesperson, a marketer, and a brand ambassador — all at once. Every candidate interaction is a chance to sell the company's mission, culture, and vision. Every conversation is marketing. Every offer is a closing deal.

My career has taken me from building founding engineering teams at fintech ventures from scratch, to leading a global TA function at a fully licensed bank, to advising early-stage founders as a fractional partner.

Every candidate is a future colleague

Most people who interview with you won't get the job — but they'll remember how you made them feel. Candidate experience is brand building. I treat every touchpoint as an opportunity to leave a lasting positive impression.

Recruiters are salespeople and marketers

The best recruiters don't wait for candidates to come to them. They lead with a compelling story and close with conviction. I approach every search like a sales campaign — targeted, personalised, relentless.

Hiring managers are partners

When TA and engineering leadership are genuinely aligned — sharing context, calibrating on what good looks like, giving fast feedback — the whole process accelerates. I build those relationships deliberately.

Data over gut feel

Gut feel has its place. But the best hiring decisions are made on evidence — structured interviews, consistent scorecards, calibrated debriefs. I design processes that surface real signal and remove unconscious bias.

Building diverse teams isn't just the right thing to do — it makes companies stronger. In Europe especially, this is not optional — it's essential. I've led D&I initiatives at the leadership level throughout my career.

From founding engineering teams at zero to leading a global TA function at a fully licensed bank — each chapter taught me something different about what great hiring actually looks like.

After Solaris SE, I chose to take on independent work while exploring the right senior in-house opportunity in Europe.
